Former Member

Hello All,

Im presently working on a EAI tool called TIBCO and planning to get into SAP XI. So i would like to know if anybody can provide me the SAP XI beginner tutorials in PDF format. It would be really helpful for me if those tutorials are in detail with examples or scenarios which would be easy for me to understand.

Would really appreciate everyone's help in this regard.

Thanks

Thanks Kulwinder,

The amount of information you have provided is awesome. I really appreciate your help in this regard.

I would like to ask you another question. I dont have any experience in JAVA or ABAP...how difficult do you think it would be for me to learn XI. So far i have heard that knowledge of ABAP will come into picture only in certain scenarios which come across very rarely. Is that a correct statement? And also is that true for JAVA as well?

If i need to learn ABAP for XI can you tell me briefly what are the specific things or modules i need to learn in ABAP for XI please. If you can provide any documents or links to learn those specific modules that would be great.

Thanks and once again i really appreciate your help.

>>difficult do you think it would be for me to learn XI

Everything is as easy as you make it and as hard as you make it:)i will say only one thing,SAP XI is not rocket science but neither it is a story book, just put some effort and you should be ok

>>certain scenarios which come across very rarely. Is that a correct?

No its not, ideally speaking you need to know only XI but when you go to clients location you can't say you want to do XI ideally.you need to have some ABAP knowledge for sure, specially concepts of IDOC,RFC,Proxy,ABAP mapping etc

and same holds for Java too.

>>If i need to learn ABAP for XI can you tell me briefly what are the specific things or modules

No need of any special module, just get the basics of R/3

Thanx
