In the config client, I created two depreciation areas 13 and 14 by copying the depreciation area 10 (ACRS/MACRS). There is no master data or transaction data in this client.

I deleted both the depreciation areas in the config client. Dep area 13 is deleted completely but not 14. In the transaction code OADC, the dep area 14 still exists. Because of this, I am not able to assign default values in the transaction code OAYZ. The system is displaying an error message

For this problem, SAP suggested to implement note 63850, where a customized program ZANKBDEL is to be written and executed. Even after executing this program, the error persisted. In OADC and T093A, the depreciation area 14 was still residing.

SAP further suggested to execute the function module AA_AFABER_DELETE. Using this function module, I could delete the depreciation area 14 successfully and in OAYZ, I could assign the default depreciation keys.

The problem is solved.
