Hi,

With Batch Management, system will provide you the option of entering Production Date and Shelf Life Expiry Date under "Batch" Tab during MIGO.

And if you want to use it w/o batch management then this option is available in "Material" Tab in MIGO.

Also do following;

OMJ5 - Expiry date check for plant and movement type

MM01 - Maintain SLED in "Plant/Storage Data 1"

Hi,

MB5M - Shelf Life List

Description: -

The report MB5M (Program - RM07MMHD) provides an overview of the remaining shelf life of batches.

Here, you are able to select the following batches:

- All batches whose expiration date has expired. In this case, do not enter a remaining shelf life on the initial screen.

- All batches whose expiration date will expire within the next number of days. Enter the number of days in the field "Remaining shelf life"

Requirements: -

The system can only determine the remaining shelf life if the shelf life expiration date/production date has been maintained in the batch master record.

Output: -

You can display two different lists:

- Batch list including total remaining shelf life. The system calculates the total remaining shelf life from the shelf life expiration date less the current date.

- Batch list including remaining shelf life in the warehouse (distribution center). The remaining shelf life in the warehouse is only displayed if a storage percentage has been defined in the material master record. The system calculates the remaining shelf life in the warehouse from the shelf life expiration date less the percentage remaining shelf life in the store.

Hi,

For Non- Batch Material:

In material master maintain total shelf life and minimum remaining shelf life of the material in general/plant data .During MIGO, you have to enter Production Date. If the material life less then minimum remaining shelf life period, system would not allow you to post the doc.

During creation of Material you can set like in MM01.....In Gen Plant data/storage 1 view, Maintain required values in the Field of .....Total Self Life ( lets say 90days) and in Min. Remaining shelf life ( is 60days).....

Example:

When you do GR for this material the System will ask for Date of Production of material( u enter here0 ...from that the system automatically calculates it SLED....and it checks the Remaining shelf life Expiry Date also...and if it falls earlier than that...the system will give you Error message and will not allow you to Post the GR...(example:1, If ur receiving today ie..08.06.2008 and production date is 15.04.2008{ falls within 60days, then system will post GR, example:2, If ur receiving today ie..08.06.2008 and production date is 03.02.2008{ not falls within 60days} , then system will not post GR.

Shelf life can be maintained for the non-batch material, Check the link:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/a5/63348743a211d189410000e829fbbd/frameset.htm

Note:

Check the following path:

SPRO->Logistic-General->Batch management->Shelf life expiration data

->1.Maintain Period indicator

-> 2.Set Expiration date check

2.1For Plant

&2.2 Movement type mark the shelf life indicator .
