1.Purpose:

This document provides steps involved in ADS Automated Configuration using Configuration Wizard after the installation of AS Java to be available for form processing.

2.Assumptions:

2.1 Screen-shots taken from EP7.3 SP5 but it is applicable to all EP7.3 releases.

2.2 Adobe Document Services already installed on AS-Java 7.3.

2.3 User have admin rights to execute NWA Configurations  , super admin and full access in ECC as well.

2.4 Do not use the automation tools after Upgrade / Update / System copy . Only do manually if anything should be changed,

3.Procedure:

It is possible to do the initial basic configuration of Adobe Document Services (ADS) automatically using the configuration wizard in NWA. In case the automatic configuration failed, perform each configuration step manually.

3.1 Login to NWA using http://host:port/nwa and Navigate to Configuration -> Scenarios -> Configuration Wizard.

In the Automation Tasks section , select All Configuration Tasks from show drop down and choose Functional Unit Configuration UI.

Or directly access using the url http://<host>:<httpport>/sld/fun.

  Search for the functional unit Adobe Document Services . If it is in disable status , activate it using the button Enable Automatically.

  It starts the wizard to do the needed configurations automatically as shown below.

Give the J2EE Admin password for the user correctly and define master password and remember it for future reference to do administrative activities.Choose Next and wait until it finish all the tasks upto 100% as shown below,

  Now Search for the functional unit Adobe Document Services which should be in Enabled status.

3.2  For interactive use and security of forms, apply a Reader Rights Credential :

Reader Rights Credential needed to use Interactive forms.  include usage rights that enable users to fill in forms, add comments, and sign documents using Adobe Reader. To apply usage rights to an interactive form, the document must be signed with a special credential. The credential is therefore unique to every company.

To obtain your Reader Rights Credential, check SAP Note 736902.To install the PKCS #12 credential file obtained as per SAP Note 736902,  it should be uploaded to the server, configure the credential attributes and restart the respective ADS-relevant services.

3.2.1  Login to NWA and Navigate to Configuration -> Infrastructure -> Adobe Document Services

Choose Document Security from the navigation pane.Select Credentials from the list and choose Manage P12 Files.



    

Choose Add New File , Select a P12 file from your local file system and Choose Upload


3.2.2 Configuring Credential Attributes used by ADS :

Configuring the credential attributes consists of registering the password and the alias of each credential, which is used by Adobe Document Services (ADS).

Select Credentials from the list and choose  Add New Object. and enter the details relevant to to each type of alias , save and restart AS Java.
