BPC Mobile Installation

Former Member
0 Kudos

In a NW 7.30 environment with the latest SP.

I'm having issues setting up the BSP Application ZDEMOTEST.

Per the How to install BPC Mobile Guide I created a BSP Application ZDEMOTEST, created it as a local object and

uploaded the BPC Mobile files to the application using CyberDuck. I've verfied

the service is active using SICF. Below are two ways I've tried to test

the application, first with SICF, then with SE80.

*** SICF ***

zdemotest > Test Service

Login prompt, which I enter a user name and password into. A web

page appears with the following error:

The following error text was processed in the system:

BSP Exception: Das Objekt default.htm in der URL

/sap/bc/bsp/sap/zdemotest/default.htm?sap-client=001&sap-sessioncmd=open

ist nicht gültig.

So I replace default.htm with test.html in the address bar and

the test page I created displays correctly.

If I replace default.htm with bpcmako.html, the page I really

want to display, I get:

Errors on this web page might cause it to work incorrectly

Make sure you are specifying the right port inside of the URL when you are testing it from your browser http://bpcnw.ad.sandpointc.com:8000/sap/bc/bsp/sap/zdemotest/bpcmako.html in your case.

Hi Josef,

I read your post and was wondering whether you were able to successfully implement BPC 10.0 reports on ipad.

I have created a report in the 'mobile' folder in library and am trying to upload this report to the BSP application through cyberduck.

However, when I right click on my BSP application ZJHTEST and select upload, I am confused as to how to navigate and select my report.

Can you help me with this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Varsha,

Two things;

1) Make sure the folder you are using to store your reports (under Public or Private) is called "Mobile", the How To Guide says the name of the folder is not case sensitive, however it is.

2) I don't like Cyberduck to perform this task, I had a bunch of issues with it when I had to set it up. You can use transaction SE38 -> SAP/BC/BSP/SAP/ZJHTEST.

Let me know if this helps.

Prithivi Raj,

You need to download the contents required for the BSP application from this link:

Thanks Mate.

Downloaded and uploaded the html to the BSP application via cyberduck.

When i try to open the service I get a blank page.

Is that the intended output or I should be getting some thing else?

Try testing the service using your web browser.. I'd recommend using Chrome.

http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/<yourApp>/bpcmako.html

Make sure your folder structure looks like this in your BSP app.. If you can't see it check your bc services (in trans SICF)

My BPS application looks like this  and my BSP service is active

BTW while checking the comments in the below EPM unwired guide, a member has posted that blank screen in the desktop/laptop is acceptable.

Prithivi Raj,

Please go ahead an upload the rest of the folders that you downloaded from the SAP store to the BSP MIME Repository according to the image I sent on the previous post. After you do that you should be able to see a screen like this in your browser..

Thanks Mate, works like charm...

I checked out many threads and blogs, and no where they mentioned your recommendation, thanks a ton...

I am going ahead with the activity, will let you know the status(or error if i get any)  once done.

Hi Kermit,

Thanks a ton for the guidance.

Apologies for the late response.I tried out the steps and the link came out to be working perfectly fine

This screenshot helped a lot to understand what exactly needs to be uploaded to the BSP application and which is not clearly mentioned in the How-to-guide.

As correctly pointed out, loading the MIME repository through SE38 was a lot easier and faster than doing it through cyberduck.Next steps are to establish connection to ipad. Will keep you posted.(Will need your help incase of errors )

@ prithvi - thanks for the keeping discussion alive with the errors encountered

Thanks

Glad Varsha, Kindly post the errors which you are facing.

I kindly request the expert's(Kermit) advice for the below issue,

1. In the BPC webclient I am not able to create a new folder, it is not allowing me to create a new folder or . I have full authorizations in the system and also my BPC team member eve tried adding  authorizations in the BPC web client, still no luck.

2. I am able to see the report page in the browser but not in the Ipad (it shows a blank screen). Is that because of the above reason??

Hi Prithvi,

I tried out the steps for configuring the connection on IPad.However, it gives a vague error which says

'Your request is invalid;verify the connection details pr contact your administrator(MOB 06009) (HTTP 404)

When I open the link in chrome on my laptop, I am able to access the reports in mobile folder, but if I do the same thing through chrome on IPad, I get a blank screen with only the tabname as 'BPC reports'.

Were u able to successfully implement it on IPad? If so, pls help

Hi Varsha,

For me it works only at time, its totally weird .

May be you can restart the device and try or update the EPM to the latest or press that try again button (once it worked for me that way ) . Check out the below URL, it explains about the different MOB errors you get.

http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir4/en/410_mobiPad_errmsgs_en.pdf

I have raised a OSS message for an issue which i am facing in my BPC 10.1, may be their solution might fix this. Will update here if its fixed.
