Open Document URL - what is the difference?

I've been trying to export a Crystal Report as a PDF using OpenDocumnet.

In the developer guide, I see 2 kinds of URLs:

http://<BOXI_Server>:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?iDocID=Aa3dhagQaEdGqTnh3g.uQn8&s...

http://<server_name>:<port>/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?iDocID=Aa3dhagQaEdGqTnh3g.uQn8&sIDType=CUID&token=<>

Only the first URL (including "BOE" in the URL) works for me. what is the difference between the two?

Hi Rose,

The first url is for BI 4.x version and the second url is for earlier version of BusinessObjects(XI 3.1)

OpenDocument is an application which comes with BO war files by default to view reports using url reporting.

Prior versions of BusinessObjects had separate war files for each application.

From BI 4.0 and 4.1, the BO war structure was changed and all the BO applications were bundled in a single war BOE.war. Therefore you see the change in the URL's

Thanks,

Prithvi
